My Journey as a Maltese Jewelry Artisan
Hello! I’m Josianne Calleja, the founder and silversmith behind Jos Atelier, an online jewelry shop based in Malta. Since 2002, I’ve been passionate about creating handmade, bespoke jewelry that tells a story. In 2020, I launched Dazzled Collections to share my love for Maltese filigree, memorial inlays, and sustainable craftsmanship with the world.
As a mother of three, and a never ending list to do, I decided to take matter in my own hands. I moved from social work, teaching and guidance in order to focus on setting up this business. 2020 was a year of change and growth, as I transitioned from being employed full time, to taking care of the family, and also building a new business. The leap of faith was not a small one financially, but now 5 years down the line, that small business has grown. As I grew in my skills, so did the new requests and challenges, making every handcrafted item a great learning curve!

Nothing is bought for resell, hence making sure that the items are genuinely produced, locally, and all fine and precious metals are properly hallmarked.
