About Me & My Work
I’m Josianne, a silversmith creating handcrafted jewellery in Malta. I am fully registered, and every piece I make is hallmarked in accordance with Maltese law, carrying my signature hallmark ABK, registered with the Council of Malta. ABK stands for my kids, Angela, Benjamin and Klara or an acronym for Always Be Kind!
My journey began with training in traditional filigree, followed by formal studies in jewellery making at MCAST. As a mother of three, I see jewellery as a journey—one that always starts with a dream. Its something I wish to impart to my kids. To believe and work on their dreams!
Today, I specialise in bespoke pieces that begin with a message, a feeling, or a simple note, and are shaped with care, intention, and love.
Each piece is a story, made to be worn.
The Custom Order Process
Commissioning a custom silver piece is simple and transparent. I guide you through each step to ensure you feel confident and involved throughout.
1. Enquiry & Ideas
We begin with a conversation. You can share your ideas, inspiration, purpose of the piece, and any personal details you’d like included. Even a rough concept is enough to start.
2. Design & Quote
Based on our discussion, I develop a design direction and provide a clear quote and estimated timeline. Adjustments can be made at this stage to ensure the piece feels right for you. Prices indicated in under the photos are just an indication of how much these costed at times of crafting. Factors such as stones used and price of fine metal (silver or Gold) at the time the quote was made.
3. Making the Piece
Once approved, your piece is handcrafted in my studio. This stage involves traditional silversmithing techniques and careful finishing, ensuring quality, durability, and character. A commitment - deposit of 10 percent required at this point. The final payment is done once the product is finished an pick up / delivery arranged. This applies to all Bespoke orders, Local and non-local orders.
4. Completion & Delivery
Your finished piece is carefully checked, packaged, and delivered to you. You’ll also receive guidance on caring for your silver to ensure it lasts for years to come. Our bespoke items come with a one year guarantee certificate! This is small gesture of gratitude for placing your trust in us.
Gaurantee does not cover instances were the product was damaged due to unforeseen circumstances stemming from improper wear or care for the item.
